Cyprus Customs Department (mof.gov.cy/customs) follows EU Union Customs Code. THESEAS electronic declaration system. All imports from non-EU subject to EU Common External Tariff. Limassol and Larnaca ports and airports handle cargo. IOSS for low-value VAT since July 2021.
EU customs, generally efficient. Island location means all non-EU goods arrive by sea or air. Limassol port is well-organized. Postal parcels typically clear in 2-4 days. Express couriers faster. Relatively small volume means less congestion than major EU hubs.

Required for agricultural quotas, dual-use goods, weapons. Note: goods from Northern Cyprus (occupied territory) subject to special EU regulations.
Limited direct trade data between CV and CY. Most shipping routes go via major logistics hubs in Europe, UAE, or Singapore.
Key imports into CY: Vehicles, petroleum, machinery, electronics, food products, chemicals, clothing. Key exports from CV: Various goods. Cyprus applies 19% VAT on imports.
